On September 27, Matthew Erie of the University of Oxford gave a talk on the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and its effect upon China. He first summarized the key points about the FCPA and that China has adopted its own FCPA. His research shows that FCPA became a major practice area for law firms in China after the financial crisis of 2008. Law firms made sure that the FCPA became a core interest for their clients.
