Please mark your calendar for the 9th Annual Conference of the Julis-Rabinowitz Center for Public Policy & Finance (JRCPPF) to be held at Princeton University on February 20-21, 2020. The theme of this year’s conference is “Development Finance in Fragile States.”  The conference website is here: https://jrc.princeton.edu/annual-conference/2020. Registration will begin in December 2019.

 

We kick off the conference at 3:00 pm on Thursday, Feb. 20 with a panel session on Macro-policy, Capital Flows and Investments. The first keynote will be at 4:30pm with Raghuram Rajan, the Katherine Dusak Miller Distinguished Service Professor of Finance at Chicago Booth. The conference continues on Friday, Feb. 21 from 9:00 am - 4:00 pm with sessions on new financial instruments, risk management, and China’s Belt-and-Road Initiative, as well as a second keynote talk by Rachel Glennerster, Chief Economist at the UK Department for International Development (DFID).

 

This year’s conference is co-sponsored by the Princeton Institute for International and Regional Studies (PIIRS), the Empirical Studies of Conflict Project, and the Center for Contemporary China.
