The Center for Applied Social and Economic Research (CASER) at NYU Shanghai is dedicated to fostering methodologically rigorous, multi-disciplinary research on the most pressing issues related to China’s socioeconomic development. The Center for Social Research(CSR)of Peking University, founded in October 2012, is an interdisciplinary institute. Since its inception the CSR has advocated rigorous sociological research with the goal of advancing our understanding of social phenomena, problems, structures, and changes through scientific and empirical research.
